Teknopedia – Many people believe that using a smartphone or cell phone can be one of the causes of cancer.
It is believed that the cause of using a cell phone or smartphone that can cause cancer is that the cell phone emits radio frequency energy at a certain absorption rate (SAR) listed in the specifications and manuals of each cell phone or smartphone on the market is.
Cell phone or smartphone use, which requires direct contact with the user’s body for an extended period of time, is believed to cause radiation that triggers certain types of cancer.
But the fact of the matter is that until now there have been many scientific papers uncovering the startling link between cell phone radiation and cancer, none of which has been proven.
Even according to the 2008-2009 Scientific Report of the President of the Cancer Panel Organisation, there is as yet no evidence to support the link between cell phone or smartphone use and cancer.
Data from the scientific report also shows that the time people spend on cell phones has increased sixfold since 1991, but the number of brain tumor cases has fallen by almost half.
The most recent report by the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health from research over the period 1975-2007 also says the same thing, namely that the number of people with cancer is decreasing by 1 percent each year, despite the increasingly intensive use of cell phones or smartphones by every individual in society.
So, with some of the above evidence, it can be said that cellphone or smartphone use is not the main cause that has a high possibility of users developing cancer.
